How do I get total commander to see my Touch Pro? Do I need to install the Snyc Software that came with the phone?

I have a Verizonized Sprint Touch Pro. I am running the VZW Leaked ROM. The audio volume through the earpiece is really terrible, and renders the phone almost unusable here on the streets of New York City. I have tried both the Full Cab and replacing the .csv file. Nothing seems to help.... Any ideas?
