I had the same exact problem. The store manager at the Sprint store came out and told me to go ahead and get the Touch Pro at Best Buy for $750, then come back and they would give me a $100 rebate and a $350 credit on my account so the price would end up being the same as what they would charge on the 2nd.

When I went back to the store, none of the reps had actually seen the Pro, so of course I was the center of attention for a little bit as they all tried it out. I looked over at some other customers watching the commotion and simply said "Geek Porn."

Looks like all BB in AZ have around 3-4 in stock as of tonight. Make sure you bring the coupon with you and also make sure you do not take no for an answer. They will have to jump through some hoops, but they can do it.

as long as you get a 2 new yr extention of plan you get the phone @ 300 - 20% right?
i keep hearing about people only eligible for $75. not sure what that's all about

Got mine today as well today. 239.99 with 20% off with tax like 259.00 out the door not bad. I love this phone as well

I didn't get as much of a discount as others I think because I'm only a one year customer. Regardless, I'm pretty pleased with it not being the $759.99 MSRP that was sitting on the register for the duration of the checkout process.

I took a ton of pics just now of unboxing and side-by-side with the mogul, and a few to give some feel for size/screen brightness with my D80 and a good lens.

I'm really happy with it so far. The only somewhat frustrating thing is that it ships with the text size set on something rather large. I have good eyes and found that annoying so I bumped it down one bar below normal so I get more bang for the screen real estate.

Sprints discounts new phones for current customers based on how long you've had your current phone. Having your phone for 12-21 months gets you $75 off (so Touch Pro would be $580 - $75 = $505), 22+ months gets you $150 off. In the case of the Touch Pro, customers who have had their phone for 22+ months are also eligible for a $130 mail-in rebate (but not the 12-21 month customers). So that later group ends up paying $580 - $150 - $130 = $300

Best Buy follows this format as well except their discounts are a bit more because they don't involve mail-in rebates . Customers who've had their current phone for 12-21 months get the Touch Pro for $460 -20% for signing up for a new 2 yr contract, and customers who've had their current phone for 22+ months get the Touch Pro for $300 -20%.

So for both Sprint and Best Buy, the price of the phone has nothing to do with how long you elect to extend your contract for, its based on how long you've had your current phone. In my case, I only have had my current phone for 14 months, so I only qualified for the $460 - 20% price even though I agreed to extend my contract for 2 yrs.

Also, @saumaun, LOL about the XPS M1730 hahah. It's pretty nice, but I use my Latitude XT all day. The XPS is too big to carry around, ever.
