Thats what I was looking for, nice find. In anycase I guess it really wouldn't make that much of a noticeable difference if it was either.

307,200 pixels on a 640x480 screen so how ever many it supports.... each pixel can be a different color and there is not a maximum number of "different colors" just a maximum number of colors that can be displayed on a pixel....

Last time I checked, it doesn't work quite like that. You don't get 65k/262k colors PER pixel.

Only a certain numer of colors can usually be visible at once. Sometimes pixels have to mesh together to create certain colors.

I wonder if HTC did this:

Says the same thing, 262k colors.

Edit: Although, HTC's site for the Telus Diamond lists 65k colors. I couldn't look at the Sprint Diamond's specs because their pages are linked wrong. I would assume they'd be the same though, and I'd also assume the Touch Pro would be the same in that area as the Diamond. http://www.htc.com/us/product.aspx?id=64128

This is odd. Touch HD doesn't even have 262k. Only 65k.

My Diamond says its running 65536 right in the info. I can post a picture later on tonight when I get home . So the touch pro is gonna get the same screen as the diamond ?

Yo Yo. I remember now. before the Diamond is released. I read the specs that says. color:262k (65k effective) I think it means it is capable of 262k but only 65k is enabled.
