Re: Raph Sound vs Mogul?
Personally, I haven't had any issues with the sound level of my ringtones. I can hear any of my ringtones (stock or custom) clear across the house. Now if I create a ringtone from a crappy source with a low bitrate then the ringtone might be crap but thats not the moguls fault.

Re: Raph Sound vs Mogul?
Either way the Mogul speaker is crap. Its hollow and empty sounding. And I have a few tweaks for sound which make it just about tolerable.

I've tried messing with the bit rate when creating my own ringtones. Though not completely unsatisfactory i would really appreciate a louder speaker. The real issue is in comparison to other phones. Hell even my 6700 had a better speaker. i guess PPC speakers in general are lower than other Phones. I ask cause i there are diamonds out in other countries, though i guess most of those posters are over in XDA. Thanks neway |

Re: Raph Sound vs Mogul?
Well, if the Pro's speakers are anything like the Diamonds, don't get your hopes up. One of the video reviews that I saw for the Diamond explicitly mentioned the mono (!!!) speaker located at the top. The reviewers were excited about seeing what looked like two separate speakers, but in actuality "they" turned out to be a single speaker with part of the housing running across the midsection. They said the sound compared to that of the current-generation HTC phones. This is the one thing (pretty much) that I miss about my Q; that thing had outstanding speakers.
These phones were so close...
