Battery life...meh.
I'm not tooo worried about it.
So long as it gets about 10 hours of minor usage standby time.
I"m usually plugged in anyways.

Overall the intial reviews I've seen from the few that have been released so far aren't good.
Most complain of sluggishness.
So I'm not apt to say any of these features matter.
it's the software that's really going to come into play.
I think Software for PDAs is totally overdeveloped. Too much garbage taking up what is a very small amount of rescources to begin with.

I won't be happy until it gets release in the U.S. by a big name carrier and someone tells me it operates better and faster than the phone it's replacing. (mogul)

Til then these are exactly what they are. Numbers on paper. I want to see them in action.

I think you will be quite surprised how much better than Mogul this phone is.

Yeah you won't have an issue... Its not a Treo....... lmao.

But yeah... I'm way jealous of him for having it... I'm seriously going to have a hard time not shuffling some cash around to get BOTH phones...

Re: New Info on Touch Pro and Diamond

The software and TouchFlo 3D will display sluggishness over devices like the iphone. TouchFlo 3D is a gesture based application layered on top of the Windows Mobile native UI and Today screen. It can be made to run really well with better hardware, but even though this generation of Touch phones are spec wise better than the iphone in every way, they still require more system resources to get the same result. Until WM has an enhanced native UI, or at least allows companies like HTC to strip it completely and develop their own complete custom UI, this will always be a problem with WM6.x

Its no big special thing what the iPhone does. Its UI has the highest priority of graphics and processing power to get the result. If you fire up resource hungry applications like Coverflow, then try to switch between landscape and portrait, then try to browse or write an SMS, extreme latency and sluggishness will result. I guess Apple makes up for it with a fancy loading circle in the middle of the screen. The smoothness and 'magic' of the iphone is all smoke and mirrors.

Just my humble thoughts on the matter.

Re: New Info on Touch Pro and Diamond

tiberius85, you read my mind. Are you my soul mate? haha

I couldn't agree with you more.

The iPhone is a "feature rich" phone for the technologically de-clined.
But check out all the "cool" stuff! When essentially it does the same thing old thing. Just with a pretty face on it.
Mirrors and smoke, just like you said.

Don't tell an i-phone owner that! They might put their earbuds in, crank up their music, and walk away angrily! lol

I do have to admit that the iphone is better than most non-ppc/smartphones out there. Definitely better than VZW's Dare. That thing is a POS!
