I actually had a dream last night that I got this phone. Woke up right when I was playing around with it. Sad I know...

What's funny about this article is the guy switched around the Diamond and Touch Pro release dates...LOL...And he basically reiterates everything that's been stated on a multitude of websites.

Ah, I think the consensus is that the Pro will be comming to SPCS before the Diamond. BTW, I talked to Sprint today with an unrelated issue and they said that they have been training ppl on the Pro and to tell their customers it will be within two weeks. So it sounds like Sept 1 may be fairly close.

Not from any of the articles I've seen. Majority of the websites, articles, etc...have had release dates for the Diamond, but not the Pro. The ONLY thing that's out there about the Pro is the Telus video, since it was released in Canada already. But everywhere else, the Pro was released after the Diamond.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be VERY happy if the Pro came out first because I'd be one of the first in line to get that phone.

Yeah, that is completely backwards from everything else I've seen too. I would be very glad to be surprised with the Pro coming out that soon if it were the case, but I'd have to see/hear some of that first hand.

Ive replaced my mogul so many times, the Sprint rep said if i have another problem I can switch phones as I see fit..

and mine has another problem.. so Imma wait til the Touch Pro comes out.. and bring it in

Sorry, I'm not really yanking your chain that hard... I'm excited about this phone too. I couldn't resist.

However please note:

A> As far as we can tell Sprint has a (30 day?) exclusive on this phone for a little while, so once it comes out for Sprint there will be some delay for elsewhere. I think it was 30 days, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

B> With A> you must figure that it will be a while before an AT&T release date is announced since a Sprint release date has only been hinted at recently I wouldn't expect a hint of an AT&T release date for a while.

C> Once the Sprint release date is firm and mostly "public" then that AT&T release date might pop up pretty quick after that, unless we get lucky with some stool pigeons.

Just some thoughts...

with all this talk about it the 2 coming out at the same time... im praying for that to happen. cant wait to get this phone :P

Yeah, I agree...I would be glad to see it, but I think it is wishful thinking at this point. I'd love to be wrong though... at least it seems to me like there was one original source saying that they would both come out, but before that multiple sources saying that the Diamond would come first and the Touch Pro about a month or little more later.

Just by going by the version coming from multiple places would tell me that we're looking at a staggered release. Again, I'd be glad to be wrong in my guessing here.
