Verizon's 6800 is the 6800 on Sprint (albeit bastardized), Sprint's 6900 is the 6900 on Verizon, Sprint's 6700 was the 6700 on Verizon... the only difference in branding was xv on Verizon and PPC on Sprint.

You can't compare CDMA model numbers with GSM if that's what you're doing.

I think there may be an issue if I want to change the back cover from the flat to the Diamon GSM version... the camera lens location and the flash light location. Maybe just MAYBE they will be in the same spot...

Has anyone noticed that sprint just dropped the price of the Touch down to $99.99.

Everyone knows what happens when they drasticly discount a phone!

That's my point though. Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel have all gotten the same model numbers... so I don't see where they haven't been consistent in their model numbers. Looks to me like every new generation got a new 100, not a 50. 50 tells me its half a model - ie, Touch Dual.

You make a good point--however, I was just pointing out that HTC and Sprint aren't always lined-up, numberwise... I know that the carriers have similar model numbers... HTC mostly uses nicknames anyways...

Well guys have been out for a while. Trying to get intel on the two devices from various sources. The Diamond and Touch Pro will be released on September 3rd, same day Daimond will be cheaper by 50 bucks, I do not know why,so please don't ask. I may get my paws on one or maybe both of them within 2 weeks. If I do I will post pics and video. Until then ciao.

ok. so what r yo sources to confirm sept. 3rd release? there hasnt been any official word yet that im aware of so what makes u sure if 1 even both will bereleased then? also do u have info on pricing?

I talked to my buddy who works at Sprint today - he's still saying that October is going to be the release of the Touch Pro, September for the Diamond.

My birthday = Oct 2nd... so the Touch Pro will be my birthday present to myself! ^____^
