Re: Raphael/touch Pro Comin To Sprint??
This is really getting run in the ground. Here are the facts:
1. Alleged leaked documents have been shown from Sprint and Verizon stating that both are getting both devices. 2. Nothing official has been released from either carrier, but Telus in Canada is showing the Diamond on their website, and they are a CDMA carrier. 3. Both devices have cleared the FCC in CDMA flavor, The Touch Pro clearing first (if memory serves me correctly.) 4. The 6950 rumor came from another alleged leaked Sprint document. I say alleged because it could always be fake. Some people say it is the Diamond, some say touch pro, and others say CDMA Touch Dual (which also jsut cleared the FCC recently.) There has been no official announcement on the Touch dual coming to Sprint, nor on what the 6950 really is. Anything posted here is speculation (or someone knows but can't show proof.) I tend to believe that the 6950 is the Touch Dual, but for no real reason. 5. The only reason people assume Sprint will get these before V is because they have gotten other HTC devices first, and maybe somewhat because the Sprint documents were the first leaked shots of the devices with some type of carrier info with it. In closing we really do not know anything, but can safely assume that there is a chance that 1-3 HTC CDMA devices will PROBABLY be released in the US before the end of the year, and and 2 of those 3 will almost definitely end up with Sprint and Verizon, but who gets what first is NOT known. Now, let's stop speculating about what is coming when and where until we actually see some evidence (leaked or official.) |
Re: Raphael/touch Pro Comin To Sprint??
The 6950 being the Touch Dual would make more sense than it being the Diamond or the Raph. HTC tends to create a new model number for each device in the hundreds... ie., 6700, 6800, 6900. 6900 being the Touch, 6800 the Mogul, 6700 the Apache... then the 6600 before that even.
I don't see why they'd create half a model number for a completely new device. |

I hope it's not much higher, because I will not be renewing my contract--ever. I had it the first year I had a phone, and bought the rest outright, and never looked back. I love the fact I can switch carriers at any moment, and sell my phone on ebay--if I so choose. |

Verizon's 6800 is the 6800 on Sprint (albeit bastardized), Sprint's 6900 is the 6900 on Verizon, Sprint's 6700 was the 6700 on Verizon... the only difference in branding was xv on Verizon and PPC on Sprint. You can't compare CDMA model numbers with GSM if that's what you're doing. |
