traveling in Europe, airplane mode?

Hey guys

I'm traveling to Europe with my TP and I was wondering: I don't want calls/texts/GPS, so airplane mode is obvious, but will the phone still pull signal for the time so that my alarms will work? That's all I really care about (I'm using GAlarm, for what it's worth). Also, not incurring huge charges from Sprint.

Thanks!

Put it in Airplane mode and try a test alarm. That should answer your question.

you can use g-alarm without being connected. if you have to just change your time manually. Also Europe is GSM Network. Spring uses CDMA Network. So you wouldn't receive calls or texts anyways.

If you dont enable international roaming on your account you wont be able to get calls/data/texts anyway. Also, I know Sprint allows free texts in some countries. I would call them on both of these to make sure everything is setup correctly.
