Is there an HTC TP WiFi App that....

I will use my TP (6850) as a phone and text, however I realize that the phone itself has wifi ability.
I do NOT have a data plan with Sprint - just phone.
I have a wifi network in my house. I was wondering if I could surf the web through my wifi network using only my network and NOT Sprint?
I am hoping there is a way to separate the two: phone via Sprint that I pay for, Internet through any open WiFi network.

Is there a way or App that does this?

Hey, in fact, could I Skype through it?

Any help for this noob would be appreciated!

Re: Is there an HTC TP WiFi App that....

If you can run skype, you should be able to use it.

You don't need any extra apps... If you turn on & use wifi, it's using wifi. If you turn off wifi and can still get online, then it's using cell radio to get a data cxn - which I think if you don't pay for it doesn't the cxn fail? I'm not too sure how this works, I've always had data plans.

there is a "no data" cab floating around here somewhere that turns off your cell data. install that then just use wifi like you normally would.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50430; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

In nrgz28 rom, try data controller in the internet folder.
