how to unlock

My touch screen stop working but was i using the keyboard to work the phone but somehow the phone locked itself and of course i cant slide the icon to the side to unlock it so is there away to unlock the phone with the keyboard?

do a hardreset or a softreset

Tried a soft rest its still locked after it all booted up and if i do a hard reset wont i have to configure the screen to get it to booted back up?which i cant do cuz my touchscreen is nonresponsive.
