Talking Create your own mobile hotspot!!

One of the main problems with using wmwifirouter or any other software router is that it drains your battery too quickly to be of much use. A previous thread brushed on this topic, but I can confirm this setup works. I purchased a Zalip Mobile Wifi Router and updated it to its most current firmware and was able to setup a mobile hotspot using my sprint htc touch pro. I set it to use manual detection and it works great. This router is actually b/g/n and with my notebook I was actually able to get 2.2 mb/s down on 802.11n. This will now broadcast wifi as long as the battery lasts unless it is plugged in and it will also charge the phone to 100% battery even under heavy loads. Amazon currently has this for <$79 and IMO a good deal. I plan on keeping this in my car and using it as a mobile hotspot. Let me know what you think.

EDIT: You need to be running a custom rom for this to work...
