Re: Turn off G-sensor / accelerometer ?
I've disabled the g-sensor on my TP. However, it disables it in all programs.
Teeter no longer works Flip to mute no longer works Opera no longer auto rotates I'm sure there is a feature buried in the advanced config of opera or the ini that will allow you to disable it for just opera. |

Re: Turn off G-sensor / accelerometer ?
To completely disable the accelerometer, see this post I made some time ago. It has help my battery life as well.

Re: Turn off G-sensor / accelerometer ?
I wouldn't bother fully disabling it, just disable it in Opera. Few programs even use it yet.
I also don't think that it helps out battery life that much at all.

Re: Turn off G-sensor / accelerometer ?
I agree. It would be nice to know this.
It would be different if it was responsive enough to happen when you actually turn. There is nothing like turning a little and then back and 3 seconds later the screen flips for no reason! Very annoying! |

Re: Turn off G-sensor / accelerometer ?
I think we need a thread listing the applications that use it, the associated settings, and if its required (Teeter). I'm guessing there may be some apps that run in the background with the sensor on for no real reason.
(Idea for app! when it senses a sudden drop, airbags inflate!) Yes, Scooby and I are hanging out in the Mystery Van..
