Screen Problems with Sprint TP

I'm having a problem with my Touch Pro's screen.

When I press the power button to wake it up, nothing shows up at first, but then a few vertical lines light up. Slowly more vertical lines light up but they never form a proper image.

If I press the bottom right corner of the screen it starts displaying properly.

At first this problem was infrequent, but now it's frequent enough to be quite annoying and it affects the phone's usability. Also, I sometimes have to press the screen hard for it to respond.

Any ideas on this one? Has anyone seen anything like it?
