Re: Verizon MMS Problems
You should re-program your phone after flashing any rom (even a VZW stock!) to make sure all the proper settings for Data and MMS are configured.
For VZW users simply do a *228 1 (after reset) do *228 2 (will reset again) After that your MMS should work. |

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I am well aware of the need to reprogram after each flash. This does not help the current problem.
When it attempts to download, I get an error message saying "Message receipt failed. Try again later." After all this time on custom roms, I don't think I can go back to stock. ARGH. |

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
You don't have to go back to Stock...trust me...
Maybe something missing from Energy's build. There are quite a few dependencies related to HTC Messaging that some cooks miss in their builds (dependencies are a pain in the ass! lol) I use Cal's Kitchen (the TMartin version) and My messaging works fine. Energy is always tweaking and chaning his ROMs so he may have just missed something needed in the ROM you flashed. I suggest posting the problem in his ROM thread as if it is a ROM related issue thats where the fix will be. |

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
I did post the question initially in the Energy forum. Then I realized that this is not a Rom specific problem. I am having this same problem now on ALL rom's, except the Verizon MR1 official release. It is very odd, I don't understand why this would be.
Is it possible that I may be continuously roaming now? Would that stop the MMS from working? I just realized that my Titanium Weather keeps saying "no internet" now, which is new. I can access the internet fine on Internet Explorer, and my email works fine. How would I know if I am roaming? Excali, which version of Energy's rom were you using to get that fix to work? That fix did not work for me on the Sense 2.5 version, and you cannot even get to those settings on the Titanium version. I haven't tried Sense 2.1. Also, I didn't see an option for NO WAP. My current workaround is that I'm asking my friends/family to send me pictures via email, because I can get these fine. But it is not ideal. |

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
That was working on the energy Feb 16 sense 2.5 leo.
On most Roms except those exclusive to VZW you need to setup your MMS settings manually. |

Just reprogram the phone does it for me. I suggest trying to install DCD's VZW Carrier cab. You can find the link in one of his ROM threads. |

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
I have not had success with many vzw mms cabs, so I just do it manually. Typing a few letters and numbers isn't that big of a deal to me.

Re: Verizon MMS Problems
Hi guys, I appreciate your help with this.
I have tried changing the MMS settings, I have tried verizon specific carrier cabs, I have tried verizon specific ROMS. Just now I gave the DCD verizon carrier cab a try. This issue does not appear to be related to specific ROMs, or to the specific settings in the ROMs. That is the point I'm trying to make. I have been using custom roms on my TouchPro for over a year, and MMS worked fine. But now identical ROMs which used to work no longer work. MMS settings which used to work no longer work. SSK, Mighty, Energy, Twisted, Verizon stock - none work. I'll try some of the others, but I don't think this is ROM related. Could there be a problem outside of the ROMs? A problem with the way my phone connects to the network? (Incidentally, I've tried different radios without success) |
