Sprint-provided WM 6.5 update for TP?

So, is Windows Mobile 6.5 available, officially, through Sprint, yet?

My whiff took her TP to the corporate store recently for some bugs. When she came back, I noticed it had 6.5 installed, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to put it on mine without going into the store.

I guess I didn't check the serial. But they told her "we're doing a hard reset and installing the new software." She brought it back, and I started using...Sprite, I think, to reinstall her contacts and such.

I got a message that the OS was not the same as when we backed up the info. So, I quit out, restarted the phone, and there on the splash screen was 6.5.

So, I'm right that there's no way to do it on my own?

The store is obligated to tell a customer or at least ask permission before replacing there device. So i it is more likely that it was a software update. Do you notice anything else?

If she got a upgraded TP, then unlock it and dump the rom, someone here will help you make a .nbh to flash with.
