Thumbs down Is there any way to keep my phone in portrait mode??

My keyboard is screwed! It doesn't work and now my phone is stuck in landscape mode.

It'll go back to portrait mode if i use max manilla, but when i put the phone to sleep and wake it back up, it goes back to landscape mode.

Just tryin to make it until my phone upgrade.

Any input would be great.

This might be a terrible idea, but I wonder if flashing a Diamond ROM might work...

I wouldn't want to try it either lol. I'm sure someone has made that mistake and I wonder what happened...brick, can't flash or just no keyboard?

Re: Is there any way to keep my phone in portrait mode??

I had the exact same problem the screen would always go back to landscape after sleep. One day while searching for solutions i came across nuelight. This is the line in the description that made me think it would do the trick. "Now checks if keyboard is open, overrides keyboard driver IST". And yes i fixed the problem like a charm even when i boot android.

Re: Is there any way to keep my phone in portrait mode??

Figured this was easier than making a new thread is there a way to hardware map a key to switch between the two screen modes without opening and closing the keyboard? Sometimes it's just easier to work with portrait mode without the keyboard open and i thik if i had it set to the accelerometer i would lose alot of battery with constant rotating.

Yep, look for AEButton plus You can map your hardware keys to do anything: start wifi, rotate, launch a program...
