Talked on the rain for 20 minutes wiht my tp

Ok stupid thing to do. But belive me what she was saying it was worth it. I tried to power back on and the screen lights up for a second then stays dark. Is it toast. Anyone ever do this and let it sit all night wiht success?

disassemble your phone quickly and let it air dry for a few hours. You must do this right away before the water dries on components....

phone should work after doing this.

dropped my touch pro in the toilet (not on purpose) like I m j said, take it apart remove battery and let dry. I put my touch pro in a plastic ziplock baggie full of rice for 2 days, and im using that same touch pro to type this. it was clean water by the way good luck

Rice method is supposed to be pretty good like just stated, don't try and turn it on though while it's still wet!!!

Man I drop one of old phones in the toilet also, but I left it I was drunk and at a bar.

removing the battery and rice/noodle drying is best bet. i dunked a mogul in soda on camping trip on car charger. i unpluged and removed battery and let it set for 2 days. when i got home i took it apart and washed every component in hot soapy water, hot air dried for an hour and let it set for a week before it came back on. it lasted a year after that.

but talking on the phone for 20 min in the rain? electricity and water don't mix. pulling battery asap will help keep components from shorting. i would say if you haven't shorted out half the phone your lucky.

Rice method has worked for me. I've also thrown mine in a couple pairs of socks and toss it in the dryer on low for a quick solution. Depends on how long you can go without it.

Funny thread... i tossed my EX-wifes mogul in the toilet (she deserved it, lyin B) But it came back to life a couple days later, after she filed the $50 insurance claim...hehehe

Gah! it amazes me how YOU people to could be so clumsy! The touch pro is a disguised bar of gold!!!! I could never ever think about accidently dropping mine in water...I would die in astonishment! ...all my cabs! My contacts! my customized splash and start up!
