Phone says I have 1 New Voicemail but I don't.

So, annoying problem here, my phone says that I have a new voicemail but I don't. When I call my voicemail it says that I have "No new messages". Anyone else have this problem and have a fix for it? I dread calling Sprint CS and searching this forum along with a generic Google search produced no results. I found a couple Android users and a few Nokia N80 users that have experienced the same problem but they're on SIM cards and their fix doesn't apply to the Sprint HTC Touch Pro.

Maybe you could just make sure your messages are saved on the server where you get your mail, and then delete the account on your TP and then re-setup the account?

Under phone options>services tab>voicemail, click Get Settings... it should have clear icon

Mine does this from time to time. Call yourself and leave another voicemail. When you delete it, your icon notification will clear.
Mine does it about once a month. I think it is because I delete the message too fast.

You can avoid this by pressing * after you hear "No new messages", then hang up.

that is how you clear the icon. your easiest way is to press talk, when dial pad pops up, hit menu on brottom right (softkey)
