Did I get another bad one?

So my previous touch pro had the usual keyboard problem so I called USCC and told them. They shipped me another one. First thing I noticed... everything is super white. It looks like the contrast is cranked way up. I know how to adjust the backlight and thats not it. It just looks like the contrast is up high and I don't know how to adjust that (can you?).

Also it's not detecting my micro SD card. I checked it in the old phone and it works fine, but it doesn't in this one. Are these fixable things or did I get another dud?
