Disable auto-screen rotation permanently - how?!?!?

so i took it apart, couldnt find any magnets or switches that would identify open or closed, however there was a small slider door where the ribbon cable was woven through. so i kept that slider to the side by itself (as to be closed) and went around it with the cable, not through it, and sure as gravy is good on turkey, she stayed portrait

just for good measure i glued it closed so it can never slide open again
its my gfs phone and she would definitly open it again for some reason, even know the keyboard hasnt worked in months.
