Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

Any fix for the mike issue available or coming soon to a theater near us.

Android that I set up works fine on my wife's vogue so I can hear her but she cannot hear me. I may have trouble telling when the mike is fixed.

For me reformatting my card was the key to getting android to boot. Apparently windows uses a "non-official" card format so if you ever used windows to reformat you have to use a third party program (I think it was from HP) to get the card "re-re formatted" to a form haret can boot.

Thx for the great work to date.

I was able to get the mic working in donut by initiating a call (to voicemail, in my case), leaving the call open, and then running haret. linux boots up, and when it takes over the radio, it drops the call. But, somehow, that puts the microphone in the right state so it can be accessed by later calls in Android. It's an ugly hack, but it works.

Not sure if it'll work in Eclair -- just starting to test that now. Got the new release running, and it seems faster and more stable. And WiFi just... works. So that's nice.

Hey guys I booted 1.6 just fine and it was great not 100% stable but that's fine :) when i tried eclair I got to that x shaped nexus one boot animation and it just got stuck there. any Ideas?
UPDATE: I tried it again without the phone being plugged in and it booted right up so if it doesn't boot plugged in try unplugging it :)
Thanks SO much for the amazing work!

Does anyone else have trouble keeping the backlight on? I've had the trouble with 1.6 and 2.01

try disabling automatic backlight adjustment in Windows Mobile.

I got it working with eclair just fine. I took my working donut build and just replaced the system.sqsh and rootfs.img files. It looped at the nexus boot screen a while but eventually got past it. Has many of the same issues as 1.6, but was cool to play with until it crashed surfing the browser. Great job everyone, keep up the good work. I'd contribute if I could but I have a hard enough time just trying to understand everything!! Great job makkonen and others!

P.S. I've discovered that many of the "green keys" will work, they are just shift+the number. This only works for the inset keys on the number pad. Also the directional arrows don't work right. Up is right, right is down, etc. Keep up the hard work, I'm loving it!

If you are having trouble converting from 1.6 to 2.01, try a new data.img.

This worked for me.
