Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Hey, just wanted to thank everyone who has helped in this thread. The real-world experience of using Android on my Raph800 helped solidify my decision to get the EVO.
Maak: your tireless work from the beginning (on the old thread even) has been awesome and I hope the donation I made comes in handy ;) I'll be keeping the RAPH for a while and continue to help diagnose as time permits. Best of luck to everyone here and I look forward to the great things coming out of AOSP! |

http://xdandroid.southcape.org/rootfs/ It's only tested to work on my diam500, so test reports are welcome. Google Nav works beautifully for me though :) Also of potential interest to you guys is my "turbo" mode patch. It overclocks the memory to give a little performance boost like newer devices like the TP2. It may cause some stability issues however. If you want to give it a try, get the latest kernel from: http://glemsom.anapnea.net/android/htc-msm-android/ and add acpuclock.force_turbo=1 to your startup.txt |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
To temper the good news with some not-so-good, it doesn't look like there'll be the super simple fix I'd hoped for on the raph500. (Though... I guess no one still reading this thread even cares about the raph500.) I can't get any version of the kernel to boot without pretending it's a raph800 (which is an uglier state of affairs than I had expected). But we'll see... it might not be as bad as it looks.

Thanks Bzo, adding acpuclock.force_turbo=1 to startup.txt is way snappier. Cool=D>

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
My TP is stuck on the splash screen. It runs through the setup and goes to the splash screen with the X and the streaming lights. I let it run for about 30 mins and still just keeps goin. I have the Alltel version of the TP which is the Raph800 I am told, just like the Sprint phone.
