Hey guys, just wanted to say im still fighting the cellular south battle. 3G works for about 30 secs now before dying out. I found the username login from my old blackberry, its 6625520761@cs3g.com for the Central Mississippi area, I found my ESN in windows data settings, but who knows if its really logging in from android. It still doesnt work tho, but its getting closer. Hope that username info helps someone

I don't see why not. You'll have full write-access to the system (as long as anything your tinkering with isn't in use/locked by the OS running)

Going to try the newest kernel and rootfs... Curious to see how the location works, I haven't had that working in a while.

So i used 2.1 for a couple of days...couldn't get wifi or BT to work...so now i'm back :-). Shazam worked though!!..i was pretty excited about that. It was snappier at times...but then it would slow down. Couldn't get my hands on Google Earth though...bet it would kinda work on it.

Anyways... power collapse works for me. Gonna test BT when i get off work but it sounds like it works halfway.

There's a 2.1 build for the RAPH800?

Same working status as this build for me... plus some BT working.
I am using 2.1 primarily, Eclair is just backed up now.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Power collapse should happen automatically - when the phone goes into a "sleep" state.

There's this APK called LEDEffects, which will show the LED's on the front to be "breathing" - like the charging state in WinMo. Just lets you know that power collapse is working.

So anytime you turn the screen off on your phone, or if the phone turns the screen off itself from idle time - either way - should go into power collapse mode automatically. I believe if you don't have the "breathing" LED's, then there's something wrong or you don't have the LEDEffects installed (I believe it's built-into these builds, you'd have to remove it yourself...)
