Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I'm using Android for almost two weeks now, and the things that I noticed are:

- Clock time is one hour later as on WinMo (WinMo is the correct one) even if I put settings to automatic.

- When I want to text someone who is not in the inbox, I have to find him/her in my contacts, because when I open an empty text message I can't add contacts.

ok makk, here is what i did. i unsquashed the system.sqsh. i didn't change anything at all, then resquashed the system.sqsh. i am getting stuck in the boot loop (nexus splash screen).

the files stays the exact same size so i'm not sure what i'm losing in translation here.

i'm afraid without running linux to get into the system, i can't go further. :(

i'm still playing with it, so if i find something new out, i'll post it up.

Shazam has never worked for me in my short time testing it.

hamagc: I would guess that some sort of permissions are getting trashed by windows. I thought someone had managed to deal with squashfs unpacking and repacking in windows, but I haven't actually talked to anyone who has, so I don't know.

ok, good old notepad, gotta love it.

so i opened both system files in notepad. i see the difference looks to be in the first line. i'm trying to copy the first line from the original to my build to see if it takes. not sure if notepad can handle this lol but i'll post up with some results.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

reformat your sd card and try again. make sure you put everything in the root of the sd card.

http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/

this was recommended i think in this thread and another over at connect-utb. works well from what i hear. format with this then try again. should have no problems.
