Re: after a year... i found out how to type using on screen keyboard
yea... let me clarify
when you use ur fingers on for the onscreen keyboard you have a tendecy to to try to be as accurate as possible. So you naturally you use the tip of your finger, while trying not to touch the other keys. Insteady use the whole surface of your thumb and don't worry about touching other keys as it is smart enough to know what key you want. |

wow, all this time using the on screen keyboard and having to press delete cause it typed the wrong letter just to find out it knew what i really wanted to type even though the wrong letter popped up. hummmm, silly me. maybe i should just press send and it will fix it.

OP has a point though (pardon the pun)
If the touch screen's weren't getting better ant telling the centre of the point of contact we'd all still be using the stylus...

Re: after a year... i found out how to type using on screen keyboard
The single best way to type on the onscreen keyboard is to pull out the hardware keyboard and use that. Or you can put your fingers on a diet.

I've been trying your method, and you are right! It DOES work better than trying to touch only the key you want.

Re: after a year... i found out how to type using on screen keyboard
It works fine if you are holding your phone with both hands and can have your thumb hitting keys without an angle. But when you holding your phone with one hand trying to type with one hand, its hard to have your thumb level. At an angle I have to aim a little left of the letter to get the letter I want. But if you'e holding the phone with both hands might as well pop out the keyboard and use it. Just my personal preference.
