I have this issue also, after trying one setting for sync/push email it put this account in that just sits there and can't be removed. Help.

+1, also note that if you sync your hotmail account you cant delete it...it will download all your hotmail msn messenger contacts to your phonebook if you have the setting checked and then you'll have a lot of unwanted msn contacts on your phone book. If you delete them from here they get deleted off your msn msgr as well. Don't ask how I know this...

Well I dont know how to delete a hotmail account but to take off your outlook account aqll you have to do is...

-In activesync delete the partnership between your phone and the PC (phone cant be pluged in)
- Then plug in your phone and when you make your partnership now dont tic the email option and it will be gone.

Would you mind explaining this in a more detail? I've never used ActiveSync on my PC because it never seemed to work properly (I don't have Outlook and don't want it). The phantom Outlook acct. only appeared after I fiddled with the "Microsoft Direct Push" setting under the Settings/Communications Manager. When I saw it wasn't something I needed I turned it back off and the phantom Outlook account is still there.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

If you have Vista, Active Sync is Windows Mobile Center. Open that, then click on "Mobile Device Settings".
Click on "Change content sync settings"
Unselect the "email" option, then save.
Sync your phone, and Outlook should be gone.

This is all based on the post by Aiverson. Note, however, that you DON'T have to delete the partnership first for this to work (or at least I didn't).

Unfortunately I use XP. So the install CD which came with the Touch Pro is what I tried (and failed) to use for ActiveSync. Any other suggestions?

Same crap happened to me...I have 3 email accounts and with the outlook phantom one...it pushes one off the screen.
Is there a way to re-order them so that the outlook account is on the bottom?
