i can one-up all of you guys.
i once dropped my sony ux380p, a $2000+ micropc, on concrete on my way out the door to college. little physical damage but it screwed up the HDD something major ...
not two weeks later, i was drawing a bath for my fiancee and set it on the back of the toilet... as i turned around, i bumped the toilet and ... in the bowl it went...

sony wanted $1200 to fix it, so i sold it on ebay as-is and bought a newer/better model

needless to say, after this horrible experience, my electronics are treated better than a newborn ... (the touch pro was the belt clip's fault)

I could do that if I was a ninja, but I'm 6'2 and my legs don't come out of the car that fast, lol J/K. I know what you mean.

Re: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo my baby :<

I almost dropped my TP2 today. I was training a guy and he was on one of my pc's taking his test so I decided to roll back and get comfy to play some H.A.W.X. and plug my phone into the wall. Well I moved my rolling chair away from the wall a little and the cord got stuck under the wheel and pulled the TP2 out of my hands. The phone bounced off my thigh and stopped inches from my tile floor. I was never so happy that the USB port was so tight!

Re: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo my baby :<

I have done the lap-drop. Last week I was getting out of the car at my mom's house & my poor phone went splat right on the concrete. The damn case popped right off & concrete scuffed up the front faceplate just enough to drive me nuts. I have probably dropped this phone 10+ times in the 6 weeks that I've had it.

This phone scares me, like truly frightens me. I am so afraid of hurting it that I think I'm developing a complex. It was so expensive that I would probably rather break my leg than break IT. I have insurance, but still... With how delicately I handle this thing you'd think it was chocolate-covered plutonium or something. I don't even like to shake it too much. Eek.

lol, i have dropped my radio & past 3 phones out of my lap getting out of the car many many times in the past, never my touch pro 2,

why? cuz i have learned from my mistakes so take this piece of advice: when driving in the car, don't place it on your lap, instead wedge it underneath your nuts (or for kabuk, it appears you have no nuts so wedge it under your cameltoe), this way it never flies off your lap, if u break hard it won't slide underneath that gas pedal (happened many times to me too in the past) and if the phone rings while playing music loud or the windows are open u wont miss the call cuz ur vibrating nuts (or vagina) will alert u!! train yourself, it'll pay off in the end

Re: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo my baby :<

Since we are sharing horror stories... here is my worst one... and a lesson that I will never forget.

Im a Huge gamer... and a big tech nerd.

I imported a rare, dark blue Nintendo DS Lite before they were even announced. I was one of the first people in the US with one... and a flash cart.

The third day i had it.... My GF asked if she could hold it... She held it.. admired it... and then dropped it on the wet floor outside my job. It slid 20 feet and was scratched all across the top.

I was devastated.

Lesson learned... You can always get another GF... but a rare, single run, yet to be released electronic is a once in a lifetime thing.
