weird shape seems etched into my screen

I found this on the lower half, middle of my TP2 screen when it was under direct light (1):

When turned sideways it looks more like this (2):

(Keep in mind, i'm not an artist, it's the best i could do on paint)

It just seems too precise to be an accident. Do these shapes mean anything to anyone?

no, thats the thing, it seems like it's -underneath- the top layer. I brushed my finger over it and i can't feel a thing.

probably... i just noticed it today. ive had the phone about a month, maybe a bit under. its only visible if i put it DIRECTLY under a lamp and try really hard to angle it right... i just happened to be at the right angle when i noticed it. I thought maybe it was some sort of watermark HTC put on just for kicks.

have they been there since the day you got the phone? if so, i think a trip to the sprint store is in order

Do you use your stylus at all? It seems like the marks are just the right thickness for stylus marks.

The stylus is a pretty pointy one, it wouldnt surprise me if thats what caused it honestly... Go ahead and take it into the sprint store see what they say, you might get a new one if you have insurance. However, I don't reccomend inwurance fraud in any way shape or form.

i actually canceled my insurance because i felt ripped off by it... oh well, im really not bothered by the thing. like i said, you have to try really hard to see it in the first place.
