Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?

i have had it for three weeks now, it is AWESOME, sticks great, and holds it vertically, or horizontally, AND will allow opening of the keyboard while mounted! it is great for $10-and i would buy another for anothe rcar if it were not so easy to remove and put back up!

Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?

I got that exact one from that seller on eBay. It's a very tight fit for Sprint Touch Pro 2, but very secure. It's quite finicky to put on without it scuffing up the rear battery cover over time.

The big problem is that it blocks the speaker openings in the rear, so it muffles the sound, making it difficult to hear in the car. I had to drill out openings.

Too heavy? You ever pick up a real GPS? Much heavier and they use these mounts all the time. You really want one that attaches to the vent? Those are a good way to over heat your phone. I don't really care for either of these options as I don't trust the suction style regardless of the phone weight and it's cold in Wisconsin so the vent one is out too.

Can you post pictures of the size/position of the holes you drilled? I have this same mount, and while it works great, it does muffle the sound a bit.

I'm assuming you just drilled a few 3/8" holes on either side of the camera hole, but I'd like to see it, if you don't mind..

Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?

I've used mine once for GPS navigation. Worked great. Phone snaps in well. Suction cup worked good.

Re: anyone try this car mount for the tp2?

I got this a couple days ago and I like it a lot. Only negative is the whole screwing system to sort of lock it into place, but other than that it's awesome!
