Re: one minor flaw of tp2

Some of you guys just need to get a laptop!!!!! I love the screen size and the keyboard. I don't think I could deal with a bigger phone. Now, a faster processer yes, but the TP2 is already a big phone!!!

Re: one minor flaw of tp2

Anybody else eyeing the HD2?

I'm still a few days within my 30 day return period with Verizon. I'm trying to decide if I'd be better off turning my Touch Pro2 back in and waiting for the HD2.

Does anyone have some idea how much Verizon would charge to upgrade to a HD2 if lets say it comes out in March. How do they go about calculating the upgrade charge if your already a few months into a new 2 year contract?

Re: one minor flaw of tp2

indeed, hd2 screen will fix your onscreen kb issue but hey, in landscape, we have more room since it's longer than iphone heh.
btw, who will jump to android if sprint gets the htc rome (the android hd2) and not the hd2?

Re: one minor flaw of tp2

idk, i like my hardware keyboard, simple as that. the cpu is definitely feeling dated, but all-in-all, i'm happy with my TP2

Re: one minor flaw of tp2

I personally don't mind the screen size or the keyboard. The only issue I have with the hardware KB is the lack of a tab key (unless I'm completely missing it). It was on the TP but taken out of the TP2...Why?

use rhodiumkbdcontrol and map your own tab key ... i personally use fn+space

*EDIT*
here's the rhodiumkbdcontrol cab
i've also attached a .rar with an .xml file that you can load into the app to apply my button combinations
fn+a = select all
fn+x = cut
fn+c = copy
fn+v = paste
fn+space = tab
Attached Files
File Type: rar KeyboardConfig.rar (610 Bytes, 11 views) Click for barcode!
File Type: cab RhodiumKbdControl_CDMA.CAB (377.4 KB, 13 views) Click for barcode!

Re: one minor flaw of tp2

For my use, the original Opera app is what makes the phone seem slow. Adding Opera mini gives it a sense that the whole phone is a lot faster. With that said, I think I'd prefer Opera with a faster processor.

Isn't that what's happening when you use the arrows?

It basically works that way... Also requires you to hit enter after arrowing to be able to input text(at least it does on the login screens I've tried it on). I'm just spoiled with having only one button to push to get the job done.

I had completely forgotten about rhodiumkbdcontrol...still more buttons, but as I said I'm spoiled about it.
