went to the website that hosts the service. Apparently, they have been shut down...does anyone else have any other suggestions for live tv other than slingbox?

It has been mentioned several times, but you can go to atdhe.net using skyfire or you can use ORB (Orb.com) and with orb you have to have a TV tuner card installed on on your PC at home to stream.

This is still happening to me only with the latest MighyROM 012010 (or is it 102001? I don't remember, the Jan 20th one). I am not plugged in to my computer.
