Re: TP2 How to disable rom 6.5 slide to unlock?

My Touch Pro 2 does not have that option, I'm stuck with one way to unlock the phone after I've locked it and its "slide to unlock" I hate it cuz everytime i put it in my holder, the holder pushes power and unlocks the phone. Is there a way to install windows classic unlock on my pro 2?

Re: TP2 How to disable rom 6.5 slide to unlock?

Hi,

Long ago I got my HTC Touch Pro2 and it took me a while before I found this. Today I have update the ROM and damn, I hated myself for not making note of this tweak.

Thanks to black88mx6=D>, I have got my old fashion device lock back.

Maybe you have missed a bit information on how to get to this setting. As I also did not have the display-tab in the Lock function.
First use the registry editor to change the mentioned setting in the previous post. Now access the Lock function in settings and you will find the display-tab. Change to Windows Classic and done.

Now you can lock directly by pressing the End-button a few seconds and turn off the display and safely put it in the holder without making unwanted calls or other things.

I do not know why microsoft like this function soo much, it is true it sounds nice but it just does not work right. It is too easy to unlock while having the phone in the holder.

Regards,
Henk
