Re: Does Our Phone And Our Network Do This?

I dunno about other people, but I can count on 1 hand, the number of times I've needed my data connection while on a call...0.

Just doesn't sem like that huge of a feature to me.

Re: Does Our Phone And Our Network Do This?

Can't you connect to the web via WiFi while on a call? I've honestly never needed to do it, but I know you could with the Pre.

Sounds interesting, I'm going to give that a try!
EDIT: That totally works. If you have wifi on you can be on a call and surf the web all you want at the same time on CDMA TP2s!

Re: Does Our Phone And Our Network Do This?

You can also use VOIP and call + internet..that said...using internet while on phone is dumb...

The only thing that can make a difference though is if you get a business call and on the call they ask you to check your email..then it sucks...otherwise if your an average user, your better off playing solitaire while on a phone call.

Judging AT&T is using that as their fighting point shows that they have nothing else they can win at.

Re: Does Our Phone And Our Network Do This?

i have the iphone, and using the internet while on the phone is particuarly useful for me, im always on business calls and if im not by a computer, i use the internet on the phone to lookup certain resources for anything they need, and also im vpn'ing from it to so if i dont need it to disconect while on the phone its pretty useful given the situation. im no where near an average user, i need the net all the time. dont get me wrong i still use my tp2 just as much as my iphone i love them both, if one doent have a feature i want got to the other one.

Re: Does Our Phone And Our Network Do This?

Isn't it true you can use data and voice at the same time on a CDMA network if the network implements EV-DV? Since Sprint and Verizon (both CDMA) implement EV-DO, this restricts voice and data at the same time from occurring.

There have been a few times when I wanted to use data while on the phone. For example, if I am on a boring conference call, I could be checking Facebook, checking email, etc

You theoretically can do voice and data through EV-DO..but EV-DO is no used for phone calling because it is not as reliable..so oyu use cdma 1x

Oh and sprint is going Wimax..not LTE
