Re: WMDC not working on Win7
Not to sound like a jerk, but I've got a machine that I upgraded to Win 7 and it works for me.
I have, however, found that it's nearly impossible to synch my TP2 with 2 computers. It works the first time, but then stops. Do you synch to another computer ? It seems that the first machine you synch to becomes the primary computer and the next machine becomes secondary . Synching with the primary machine works like a charm, but synching the secondary computer becomes very unreliable, no matter how many tricks you try. If you haven't done so, you might try going into the device manager and removing the TP2. Uninstall WMDC as well. Then, when you connect up your phone, WMDC should install automatically. Other then that, I'm out. Good luck, I hope that may have been helpful. Last edited by SKS06460; 11-26-2009 at 02:29 PM. |

make sure all firewalls and anti virus is foof delete again it should work http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...-download.mspx Try removing WMDC, then open Device Manager and find the network device. Remove it from there, and make sure it uninstalls the driver. Then reboot. After rebooting, connect the phone - now it should detect it, and download WMDC to get the driver. Thats what it did for me back in the RC build, so maybe it fixes it for you too. remove form under "Portable Devices" or try this Steps 1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click System Configuration. 2. Click Continue, or provide Administrator credentials if prompted. 3. Click the General tab, and click Selective startup. 4. Under Selective startup uncheck Load startup items. 5. Click the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services box, and then click Disable all. 6. Click the Apply, then OK, and then Restart Last edited by saj070; 11-26-2009 at 04:37 PM. |

Re: WMDC not working on Win7
I am having a similar problem. I was running the Stock TP2 Verizon rom, until I upgraded to MightyRom 11/25 - no problem syncing on my first Window 7 64 bit machine with Office 2007, but no dice syncing with my second PC running Windows 7 64 bit, but with with office 2010 beta (no problem before upgrade to mightyrom).
It would be really nice if I could move my personal domain, with 4 email accounts, to exchange 2007 / 2010 somewhere on the internet. If someone is feeling generous, feel free to PM me. And I hope the Dallas Cowboys go down in flames.

Re: WMDC not working on Win7
OK. Is it actually trying to connect to the internet to get the driver? That could be a problem since I dont have internet. I am having to use my phone for tethering for a few weeks. I have downloaded WMDC several times and installed it.
I tried everything saj070 listed and it still does not work. Does anyone have a RNDIS driver I could manually install? |

Re: WMDC not working on Win7
Well, after almost 24 hrs of looking I found what my problem was. I have an intel P55 motherboard. In the BIOS, C-State has to be enabled (not set to auto). I have no idea WHY. I just stumbled across someone with the exact same problem and that was their fix.
This makes no sense whatsoever since the C-state is a power saving feature from what i understand. |
