Selecting multiple people to send text...

I know how to send multiple texts by typing the name, then semicolon, then next name and so on and so on. But, is there a way with the 6.1 or 6.5 that you can just go through your contacts and tap each person and select say 10 people then hit ok and it puts them all on the "To:" line. Sometimes if I want to forward a text, I want to send it to all my friends and can't think of every single person. But if I can just scroll through my contacts and tap and add as I go through the list would be awesome!!!!

Anyway to do this with stock software?

Latest 6.5 MightyRom has the working version of contacts where you can create a "messaging group". I've been waiting to get that in my Touch Pro roms too.

In contacts, you select New, then Msg group. Give the group a name (for ex, I have one for Kayakers, one for Snowboarders and one for current trip we're on) Choose people in your contacts to add to the group and you're done. To send an SMS you choose that group name to send it to and you're set. I'll do screenshots if you'd like some.

Latest 6.5 Rom has it built in to the HTC Messaging. Click Menu > Add Recipient, and there are check boxes next to each contact. I'd take a screenshot for you, but I didn't install the screenshot app yet.

Tapping "To:" isn't what I want. WhiteBlaze, what you described is what I want. But I don't see any checkboxes by my contacts in the latest mightyrom 11/25!! Am I just completely looking over it? I don't see any checkboxes.

It should be included in Manilla 2.5. I'm using Energy ROM Nov 25. Here is a screenshot.

I started off with Mightyrom, then went to Energy Oct 22, now I flashed Energy Nov 25 28004, and it's AWESOME!! Very fast. Much faster than Oct 22. Only thing that is slow is the Sunny weather animation. Opera 10 is cool too. There are a few things I gotta figure out, like mms, but it's a great rom. I recommend it.
