Any suggestions first time tweak and mods?

Hello folks, I am interested in messing with "the guts" of my VZW TP2, though to a safe extent of course. So I wanted to ask what smalls tweaks can I start with like, clocks, themes, wallpaper, lock screen, and GPS functionality (google maps is kinda weird...).

So any recommendations by a friendly user would be appreciated
