QuickGPS problem on TP2?

My Sprint Touch Pro 2 is always poping up msg recently saying that the Quick GPS Data needs to be updated. However, every time I am trying to download data, it gives me an error message saying:
"Data Activation Failed
Location settings must be on that the latest satellite data can be used to
speed up GPS position."
I know how to enable location settings by going to
Phone->Menu->Options->CDMA services->location settings
but even I set it to "ON", I won't be able to update with latest Quick GPS data.

If I manually turn it "OFF", then the next time I am trying to run QickGPS, it will ask me to turn location service ON and I still can follow it to turn it "ON". However, by either of this two ways to turn location service "ON", I won't be able to update the Quick GPS and it is always showing the data has expired for several days.

Does anyone here know how to solve this issue? Thanks!

PS: I installed g-map and it seems working with GPS although the location showing there is very inaccurate. And another thing I found is Sprint Navigation never work for me and always say GPS not initiated...

Superb! This also fixes the "Cradle was not found" pop up that comes up from QuckGPS from Telenav on my recently upgraded to 6.5 Verizon TP2!

I receive the same message periodiacally. I choose to download the update and it works fine every time. I am on the Verizon network.

When you say it's working fine, is it actually getting an update? I ask because my experience is that I am no longer receiving the error messages, but neither is it updating automagically!

mine does it once in awhile. i turn my location settings off. then softreset . turn them back on then run quickgps. it works every time for me...
