TP2 - help with actual phone operations

I am new to the Touch Pro 2 scene. My old phone was an HTC Typhoon running 2003SE which I have loved for 4.5 years. As I play with the Verizon TP2 (CDMA), I have seen many tweaks here on the site but I am concerned about the basic functionality of the phone.

First when you get a calendar reminder, your only options are snooze (5 minutes) or dismiss. ARE YOU KINDING ME? This is the same lame option that existed back in SE. If someone puts a 1 hour reminder on an event, you either dismiss it or hit snooze 11 times. And if you delay in doing the snooze the reminder will come up after the meeting has started. There has to be a better option.

On the phone call itself, I feel like there is a loss of functionality with handling multiple calls. On my OLD phone I could mute, hold, switch, and conference multiple calls. Besides the really nice mute button the handling of the calls seems to be really limited.

I am also noticing that doing a sync with Outlook that it does not do a good of syncing. Items that are read on my computer are not changing status. Calendar events were not being updated unless I turned on the Exchange push.

Are there methods to help address these issues?
