This issue has driven me nuts for months.
But im happy to say on my ROM im building right now iv not seen it pop up a single time!
I assume its because I used the VZW ROM for a base.

Great Post. I too have suffered from this annoying message for awhile now.
However, I only get it when I cross the Columbia river into WA state. No Major VZW towers there, but there are towers...

My solution? . . . Airplane Mode.

I have to get work done and can't be bothered every 5 sec with that msg.

Running Energy Rom WM6.5.3 build mar 16 release...CDMA, Verizon

MMS still not working properly though..I can receive not send..weird...

Anyone else using latest MightyRom and had success with ##775. Mine doesn't recognize this code and I did Verizon carrier provisioning.

Nevermind. If ##775 TALK doesn't work try ##7755#

Also, thanks! This totally fixed what was pretty much the most annoying problem ever!

Thanks for the update n8mack33; I had an issue with the ##775 working on a VZW TP2, but your tip worked flawlessly.

I still am having the same problem on my phone. I am using the mighty mike rom, Verizon and 2.1 sense.

What happens is if i Use the prl that is in this thread I cant log into Palringo. If I update my PRL than Palringo works fine but that stupid message pops up.

Does anyone have any ideas???

I'm still getting this message too. I drove to north wilksboro NC today and it would not STFU on Carolina Wireless. I don't want to do the PRL update because I'll have to change it, and I don't leave verizon towers very often. If anybody has any ideas of a permanent fix please let us know. Thanks to Ninja and Crossroads for the work they have put in thus far.

I havent had that annoying message in ages.. did you try and upgrade the radio by chance? If your still using the radion from 6.1 slap that new radio on their. To be honest I cant remember when i stopped hearing that ijiot message. I'm a big fan of Energyz and havent gotten that in a while. I also dont get it from my personal cooked rom which i posted here. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=120626.

But im thinking it was after i went ahead and loaded verizons new rom, did the #228 then put a custom back on it.. <their new 6.5 had bugs galore for me).

Hey guys - running into this error w/ my Verizon TP2 with the may something Energy rom. Tried applying this patch, but neither the ##775 nor the ##7755# code triggered correctly. Any help?
