It appears Verizon users can have their phone automatically join preferred or specified GSM networks, whereas Sprint users, even though a network (in my case ATT) is specified as prefered, it will not automatically join the network after switching to GSM mode. If so, it should consider MNC and MCC for other GSM networks and force it to change the prefered one. Let me think how to implement it,
