Re: device gets pretty warm!
You sure it's not turning on in your pocket? Other than that check your running programs, maybe something's coming on while pocketed.
btw, How'd you get that high speed test(in yur sig) on verizon? Best I've done so far is around 1300kbs and that was one time. Never mind, they have dsl now right? |

Re: device gets pretty warm!
Is push internet enabled? Any other data using stuff turned on (weather, stocks, active sync, email)? Any GPS apps running in the background? Any of those could explain the battery drain as well as getting warm as it would constantly be doing something.

Re: device gets pretty warm!
push internet should not do that...it is an idle connection...I have push gmail on via flexmail all day long and if I had to describe my phone I'd actually call it cold to the touch moreso than warm...I would say that you either inadvertently have something running in the background (check with a good taskmgr) or you possibly have a defective battery or phone...granted I'm on sprint but shouldn't be much different as they're on similar type networks...barring that, could be a battery issue, OS corruption, or hardware issue...are you running on stock and stock radio??

Re: device gets pretty warm!
I've had the same problem with MightyROM twice now, although mine was accompanied by Manila being frozen. Both times required a hard reset to fix. I haven't seen the issue with the 11/16 release yet.

Try that with an iphone!. lol. Just kidding. I have a stock Sprint phone and the same thing happens to me...Except my battery doesn't drain..... Well.... I usually take it out of my pocket when it gets too hot. I'm hot blooded. p. |

Re: device gets pretty warm!
+1 for checking for running GPS apps. Those used to make my tp1 get super hot...
As for the TP2, I'm running Mighty's newst version, and it never gets hot, even when I'm talking on my blutooth headset and charging smultaneously, so the problem probably isn't the rom.
