This happened to me once too after a fresh install of MighyROM but I can't completely remember what option fixed it. Try playing around with the zoom, pixel aspect ratio, and DirectDraw settings. Also try restarting Orb on your PC and soft resetting the phone. These are the things I remember trying and it eventually fixed it for me.

Re: Orb On TP2

You should be able to improve your steaming experience by bypassing Orb's servers. If you're using WiFi on your home network, the Orb applet should figure that out for you. If you're not on your home network, you can try a little port forwarding. Instructions are here: How do I set Port Forwarding on my router to bypass Orb stream servers?

Note: I have a Palm 755p and don't use a TP2 (yet). Unfortunately, I have no experience with Windows Mobile.

Yes had 755p yrs back and ORB worked perfect...With TP2 its a different story..With the above directions, you can get a good quality stream in thumbnail size window...Still havent figured out how to get at least half screen

PS We are strickly talking about live TV streams from your TV tuner.

Woah! I cant believe I have never used Kinoma before. AWESOME. I have to totally re-evaluate how I use Orb and store music and media. I hated using PIE and WMP...garbage.

Re: Orb On TP2

Not sure why people are having an issue with streaming live TV quality, but I read in another forum to make the default stream in 3gp format so it streams the HTC streaming media app.

This usually has some error or times out the initial time when the HTC app loads up the stream, but then I hit "play" again and it streams in full screen perfectly fine with good quality.

Re: Orb On TP2

I am going to ask this here since its an active thread. Because of this thread, I have begun using Kinoma to stream Orb but I see that Kinoma is now the default program for all media. How do I change that other than the "opens with" option in file explorer? Thanks

1. Use the "recomp-03" TCPMP here (or just google TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03).

2. Download "WM5 WMV9 Codecs.zip" here and put the two .dll files into the Windows directory on your TP2.

(maybe soft reset at this point? i can't remember)

3. In TCPMP, under the DirectDraw settings make sure "Use blitting instead of overlay" is checked. Under file association settings make sure PLS is checked.

4. In Orb, go into settings and change stream to use Winamp (.pls).

You may need to tweak the manual A/V offset under advanced settings in TCPMP if it is out of sync.
This works perfect!!!

Re: Orb On TP2

When trying to stream either asx or pls to my phone in CorePlayer from Windows 7 Ultimate, Orb errors out and the error needs to be cleared on the server machine!

Any ideas/reasoning on that one folks?
