Re: Is TP2 that MUCH better than TP?

Another big yes vote. The larger screen is quite nice - battery life is significantly better. BT is no longer a massive drain on the battery that it was with my TP. The lack of overheating is really a nice "feature" as well

IMO the battery life is not better. It's about the same, if not worse(one of the reviews I recently read made note of this too). While the BT is not as much a drain as it was, it's now buggy. The big bug coming in the form of the end/hangup key not functioning with a lot of BT devices out there(so no voice activated dialing right from the BT device).

So, having given you my negative, to the OP, even with these issues, the TP2 is DEFINITELY worth the upgrade. It is MUCH better thand the TP1. Bigger screen, fantastic feel and layout of the keyboard(although I miss my tab key), better speaker and I love the proximity sensor. Load it with some 3rd party firmware(I'm using MightyROM) and you will be happy with it.

I disagree with this. The battery life is much better. With moderate use of the TP1, I had to carry around an extra battery. Now I get through a day easily and I use my TP2 pretty heavily, and I still have about 40% at the end of the day around midnight. I have never run out of battery in a 16 hour day, which happened all the time with my TP1.

Are you kidding??

The TP2 battery life is WAY better than any TP I ever owned (& I had four of them running all different ROM's)

Running Mighty ROM in my TP2 my battery life was outstanding, now running Juicy's ROM it is not quite as good but it's still way better than the TP.

Nope, not kidding at all. Lemme dig out the review I read that makes mention of the same thing...

**EDIT**
Can't dig it up since I believe may have been a youtube review(can't get to youtube here at work), but here is another review that mentions while he was impressed with the battery, other reviews he's read say they are not impressed(like myself)...

http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/4wm...k-my-life.html

Dunno, maybe a bad batch of batteries, of which I got one. I do have a couple of those eBay "special" 2000mh batteries on order, so perhaps they will change my opinion.

All I'm trying to show with the reviews is that while you guys seem stunned that someone would make a negative comment about the battery life, I am not the only one. Like I mentioned, perhaps there's some bad batteries out there. I dunno, but whatever it is, I'm not see the battery life that other are seemingly seeing.

I'm going to miss my built in hand warming feature, it's getting cold out, ROFL.

I was on a 1 1/2 hour conference call, my friend was standing there with his TP, he felt my phone and just shook his head.
