1 vote for freeza's barenaked rom, I dislike tf, I came from palm and the win 6.1 with some custom cabs is working best for me. Only 26% cpu use at startup!

Exclamation Re: Best Custom Rom for performance on CDMA TOUCH PRO 2

Old post... But I am trying to extend life of our fleet of phones.

All I care about is.

1. Making and receiving phone calls
2. Sync with our exchange servers.
3. Email working with exchange.
4. Navigation.
5. Battery life.
6. Maybe care about web browser or Microsoft store.

What is the best rom.

Touch sense flo from. Htc was always liked.

Please help...

Thanks in advance... We are new to this and just want to extend life of phones till new ones come out.

We tried to upgrade to LG fathom but users revolted loss of Htc sense.

MightyRom from 2-10-10. manila 2.1 and only version that doesn't have random b.s. issues. Energy Titainium build is nice but I'm just too lazy to relearn how to use it.

Re: Best Custom Rom for performance on CDMA TOUCH PRO 2

i say for 6.5 any rom with build 21916 is going to be very fast, stable and reliable. the rom im going to release very soon will also be a 21916 rom as i dislike 6.5.x because some programs i require do not display well. besides 6.5 any 6.1 rom released here is good except for blackout rom if u or anyone else u know also speak another language other than english.

-same things i am doing for starters.
-Most users can adapt to mightyROM just fine. No more development is happening on those ROMs as mentioned above (February was latest release)
-EnergyROMs are still being updated but now the added droid like features surpass our hardwares best-operational parameters (my opinion)

(as i am writing this, a user next to me is talking about his piece of crap phone..lol)

I just switched to Energy 29022 sense 2.5 cookie 2.0 July 4th version. I must say it is very good, fast, smooth, and stable.

Before this I used WinMO 6.5 stock ROM and SPB mobile shell. It was terrible compared to Energy. Hit sleep of death often, sometimes the phone rang but I couldn't answer. Both the on-screen slider and the hardware answer key wouldn't work.

Energy seems to run down the battery slightly quicker, but I don't care. I have 2 backup batteries in my backpack. So far I can go through a day without using the backup.

Re: Best Custom Rom for performance on CDMA TOUCH PRO 2

The other problem with stock ROM + SPB MS is when the signal is weak at a fringe area, the phone became very very sluglish. Often it just did not respond at all. If I hit the reboot botton a few times, the phone would say that it wasn't shut down properly and ask for a hard reset.

This also happens when I travel to overseas and use the local sim card. Almost everytime I land in Europe or Asia when I wanted to call home, the phone wouldn't work and want a hard reset. Extremely frustrating.

I am going camping this week in the woods. the signal will probably be poor. I'll see what happens now the phone is on Energy ROM.
