yeah, looks like the zoom bar is obsolete here and it won't switch to landscape unless you slide the keyboard out. i haven't tried changescreen or gyrator2 or anything, so that might fix.

I must say....this version is SEXY!!!!! My favorite browser hands down already. The only drawback is that it isn't webkit based, so espn's mobile page still kinda sucks. oh well...

I can't get the zoombar to work...but I'm on a "Bottom Start" rom so it never has.

I like it, but the font is just so small and adjusting it up for me to see means readjusting for everything else. I have it set on 200% zoom.

tech1screen rotate works great, also it uploads, downloads, and copies and paste in turbo mode....

Opera 10 beta is pretty well. I got landscape working for me in EnergyRom using the G-Config that's included. Too bad that the zoombar doesn't work and there isn't even a virtual zoom bar like for 9.7. Wish there was a way to zoom-in in intervals instead of all or nothing.

go to 9.5..... in address bar type opera:config enter......scroll to install enter, now check the browser first time launch box and hit save........ exit opera completely and now re enter..................

now 9.5 should be default again.....

installing it should automatically make it default. i checked when i first put it on my fone. FN+(globe) runs opera 10, and the browser button in tf3d runs it. even the favorites in the internet tab of tf3d run it. try an uninstal and reinstal

hmmm....i'm running stock sprint & after installing v.10, stock opera 9.5 still is default. Starting up opera via fn+globe on the keyboard, tf3d browser tab/button, and selecting the bookmarks in the tf3d internet tab all start up opera v.9.5.

even after a remove & reinstall, 9.5 remains the default browser.

as far as v.10, it sure is purdy, but...as the beta implies, it's far from prime time.

as I've said, i've got stock sprint rom, stock 9.5 opera, and the resproxy memory regedit tweak - my browsing experience is far snappier (operation time, not actual page load time) than v10.

and what's with the opening page of widgets? when customizing each to your liking, I wish it would just show the icon for the site, not the actual mini image of the page + what is shown is always screwed up anyway. And you can't change it so that it opens to a home page.

As it is, when opening 10, the widget page that 1st appears is filled with either widgets that are all white or messed up, off-centered screen shots of the website.

looking forward to later versions of Mobile 10.

I'm feeling pretty tired, or I'd look this up myself, but there is an xml file that HTC allows you to insert the path to your default browser. You can search xda-developers for the fix.

im runnin juicy R3, and hittin launch browser in the internet tab runs 10 for me, same thing with the favorites right there, and the FN method. i just tried them all again right now before posting this

I got it working again by typing the following in the address bar:
opera:config
scrolling down to Network and unchecking "Check Local HostName"

That stopped the annoying page that loads "Could Not Open File" and now when you Launch Internet from TF3D it launches opera 9.5. I still have opera mobile 10 and can launch from the start menu. :)

I tried it last night, didn't like the text resize, liked 9.7 better cause it launched the page I had set as a homepage, didn't like the way the interface and layout was compared to 9.7. When loading Engadget Mobile, I only got text, and it seems as if people aren't getting the regular full site even by changing the user agent. So for now, still 9.7

Worked for me...
It seems engadget tries to load a mobile version of its page the first time around. All I had to do was scroll down to the bottom and click on "View the full version of Engadget Mobile" or type the following in the address bar: mobile.engadget.com/?m=false

Anyone know how to make Opera 10 the default browser (I want it to be the browser that opens up when I click on the big globe icon in in the internet tab in touchflo3d/manila 2.1).

Update: I just reinstalled Opera 10 and it automatically made itself the default browser.

Its amazing that you posted that question. I was just wondering how/why when I click the globe icon it launches Opera 10. I installed on the storage card and I'm running mightyrom 11.16.

Well Opera 10 makes itself the default browser when you install it. The problem I have it Opera 10 is cooked into the build of EnergyRom (21869 Standard) I am using. I guess I can just reinstall Opera 10 to see if it makes itself the default browser. But I wanted to know if someone knew the registry edits.

Update: reinstalling Opera 10 made it the default

You enabled Turbo to make it faster, and then complain about the rendering when it compresses stuff to make it faster, which is the point of Turbo in the first place?

Running it for over 24 hours now. The turbo does work very but it pixelates the weather charts I need to read for work up to the point were I can't read them. Prior to noticing that though I really didn't have an issue with it. I've turn turbo off and it's still running faster then 9.5. I think it's going to come to personal preference with that feature. Some people will really like it. Other then the fact I need to slide the keyboard out to get it to go to landscape, I find it superior to 9.5 all around.

ididnt kow that turbo involved anyyyy compression. i always thought it just passed some of the load off to a another server, so the phone wouldnt render everything on its own. thank you. =D>

That's Opera Mini. Opera Mobile does the loading on its own. Turbo just compresses the page and images before sending it to the phone.

i installed to memory card on stock 6.1 and it did not make 10 the default.
Anyone know where the xml or reg settings are for this?
dont really want to uninstall and try it again but if it comes dowwn to that guess i will try it.

Thanks for the help with trying to get Opera 10 off as my default browser. I did the above and now my default browser is Windows Explorer!. I'm on Juicy's 3 Rom and would really like my 9.5 back so I can use the zoom bar. Would anyone know how to get my Opera back as the default on my TF3D bar? I did remover Opera 10 and rebooted by the way. I still have Opera 9.5 on my list of programs....but
