Re: Using Phone in another country
You should be able to do that no problem, even if you had the stock Sprint rom. The Sprint version of the TP2 has the sim card slot unlocked for international use (i.e. you can use it in China but it won't work in the U.S. on AT&T or T-Mobile).

Re: Using Phone in another country
OK, a somewhat related question:
I have a SIM unlocked Verizon TP2. Stock ROM. I'm going to be travelling to Mexico for a month or longer at the beginning of 2010. I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to have my phone with me as I travel. Could I buy a pre-paid Mexico SIM card and use my phone that way? I assume the pre-paid SIM will carry a different cell number? How would the device handle data? Or should I use WiFi only during that period of time? Orrrr... should I pay the Verizon International roaming fee for that month and get all calls and data as normal for about $60 extra for that period of time? Any other options out there?

Re: Using Phone in another country
I dont know how mexico plan works... I am originally from Bangladesh I can buy pre-paid sim with 1 month unlimited data plan(1 time fee) then I put money when its rans out.. U have to go online research and look for the services in Mexico ... If you sim is unlocked for international carrier like sprint u should be fine..
