Re: Way to use you touch pro 2 as a tv remote
there are a number of applications that do this. I am not certain which ones work the best, but this had been around on winmo devices for ages now. the only problem i think of now is if i'm correct the older winmo devices use to use the infrared, being as the tp1 and tp2 don't have infrared i don't know how this program will work unless you have your whole house linked through wifi.

Re: Way to use you touch pro 2 as a tv remote
I use my slingbox! With my phone and slingbox app I connect to the Cable box I am watching at home, mute the sound on he device and slide out the keyboard. The slingbox software remote has most of its keys mapped to the keyboard. If you really want to get trick you can create your own remote driver and include tv on/off and volume.
There are other products that work over a network, but they are pricey and need programming. |

$9 remote ruberband it to your phone. LOL. jk. The only software solution would probably be a program that utilizes infrared on a phone. Unfortunately TP2 doesn't have that and even if it did, you would have to be like 3 feet away for it to work. Kinda pointless.

I miss infrared port... I synced my friends garage door opener and made him think his garage door was broke.... open-close-open-close-open-close ect..
