Battery dying fast

Hey just wanted to know what's causing my battery to go down faster. Before I installed some stuff on my phone I think I was able to go thru the day with still almost a full charge. After a few hours with me not even using the phone at all I go down one bar. Only thing I have installed is cleanup tweaks, no curtain, personalizer, hide sprint logo, same background for all pages, igo8, and google maps. No push to internet is turned on. Any ideas what it may be or just a crap battery.

Re: Battery dying fast

Are google maps or iGo still running in the background? If they are, that could easily cause the battery to drain quickly as they could still be using the GPS to track you.

Re: Battery dying fast

nope those aren't running at all, hmm maybe I'll do a hard reset and just reinstall everythig. Does flip clock make the battery run down if anyone knows? It seems like everytime I hit the top button to look at my phone the number is always flipping and it seems like the time is just a minute faster then all my other clocks.

Re: Battery dying fast

I think I got it figured out well maybe. So I did a hard reset last night and reinstalled everything. I left it in stanby mode and didn't use it at all and in 6 hours or so the battery drained down to like 40 percent without me doing anything. This morning I turned off the phone completely and charge it that way. Full charge now and hour later battery has only gone down 1 percent so I think this might have something to do with it. I've never charged it with it being completely off maybe this did something. Hopefully this holds up

has this completely solved the problem? a TON of users are going through the same ordeal including yours truly, so I'm trying that method to see whats up.

Re: Battery dying fast

well my battery has been great so far. Also I think I had some stuff that I didn't completely close out and was still running in the background. However, everything else has been good battery wise can go two days without charging.

Re: Battery dying fast

Ive had a great time with my tp2 battery, after tossing mighty on it the battery not only used charge more slowly, it also now takes less time to charge the battery.

Re: Battery dying fast

I'm draining mine right now so I can try it... it kinda seems like my wifi might be on even though the button shows it's off because even when my screen is off I drain at 200ma sometimes

Re: Battery dying fast

Running AIM and Touchtwit has my discharge bouncing from 140mA to 600mA .. that's not right..
