I agree! I have not read all the fine print on my bill, and maybe this is a leap, but Unlimited Data means Unlimited Data! Besides you can pay less than $50 bucks and have high speed on a PC so why would on Earth would any carrier think that $1300+ is acceptable. I would tear off the remittance slip from the bill, circle the charge, and write "Good F***ing Luck with that!" on the amount paid line. I could probably be more diplomatic about it but that would feel as good!

Re: ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ [WARNING] - Tethering Users ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢

Holy Cr*p this freaked me out, seeing that I have been using between 17-22 GB a month for the past 6-7 months with Sprint. They have never billed me extra (I'm on the simply everything plan) never once said anything.

One thing to note though is that I check everyday what my usage is and if any extra charges are being applied. Also noted that depending on where it said my location was (proxy server perhaps), jumped between L.A. and Wichita and that my usage would either rise during that internet session or just stay the same.

Now I do netflix instant view alot so it adds even more GB than is what's being reported by Sprint, but again, never been charged extra so far.

I use the typical .cabs found for ICS and have been for some time with no problem, running either Mighty Rom, Silencece Rom, or Energy Rom. But I mostly been using the wi-fi router router from HTC with Sprint as my connection (no regedits) and have been fine.

yes I do see that this looks like a Telus problem and Sprint users are immune (so far) from it but just wanted to add my usage input in too...

Re: ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ [WARNING] - Tethering Users ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢ ☢

Wow, all this over internet access. I have cable, I was paying $150 a month for internet and cable ($49 for internet). I found tethering to almost as fast and decided to cancel my $49 cable internet and pay the $15 a month to US Cellular. So when I called Comcast to cancel it, they talked me into a new plan that cost me $89 a month for the same internet and 2 pay channels. Heck I am saving more than my internet cost me!! So I stay with Comcast and not worried about tethering. I hope you all get it worked out, because from what I have read in the paper, even the unlimited data packages are in trouble for smart phones. Some providers are thinking of switching to a 2 or 3 tier system that charges more so users will use less.

That will royally p!ss me off...because USC is already HOSING us folks on business plans. As a small business we do our best, and have 6 phones on the business account which is 1 too many for the shared-family plan...yet the family-shared plan gets price breaks, whereas ours is a flat rate whether you have 6 or 600 phones.
